Prestige Heights is located in a killer area. You’re just down the road from Balestier Plaza, where you can get all your shopping done, and you have a plethora of good food at your doorstep, including Founder Bak Kut Teh and Boon Tong Kee. Public transport wise, it’s right smack in the middle of both Toa Payoh and Novena MRT stations. The best part? A studio apartment here will only cost approximately $1,800 to $2,000 in rent each month. An economical option to reaching 2018’s housing goal!

#2: International Plaza

If you work in the CBD, getting a unit at International Plaza, Anson Road, is your best bet. Staying here means you’re literally a few steps away from Tanjong Pagar MRT station, as well as numerous other office buildings. You might think that units here will cost you a pretty penny, but they’re actually surprisingly affordable: you can get a studio apartment for $1,850 to $2,000. All that, and you get to shave off time from your morning routine (because you don’t need to commute as much). What’s there not to love about this kill-two-birds-with-one-stone option where you get to reach your housing goal as well as live five minutes away from it?

Yes, Amazon Prime might have landed on our shores recently, but why wait for 2-hour shipping when you can just pop downstairs and buy whatever you need within ten minutes? Millage is a 11-storey development which comprises of both residential units and retail shops – it doesn’t get more convenient than that! Other than the shops located within the development itself, you also have Geylang Serai, Joo Chiat Complex and NTUC Fairprice at your doorstep, plus Tanjong Katong Complex further down the road.
