One of them is the Certificate of Clearance (COC).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The COC is handed out by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). It certifies that the concerned subordinate has no prior illicit conviction in Singapore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A COC is important in Singapore for various reasons, including employment, education, adoption, purchasing property, and migration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to apply for COC?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for a COC, it is mandatory to use <a href=\"https:\/\/eservices.police.gov.sg\/content\/policehubhome\/homepage\/certificate-of-clearance-hub.htm\">SPF&#8217;s eService portal<\/a>. If you require more information about COC applications, please visit SPF&#8217;s website or send an email directly to <a href=\"mailto:spf_coc_office@spf.gov.sg\">spf_coc_office@spf.gov.sg<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I apply for COC as a Foreign National &amp; Singapore Permanent Resident?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for COC, the following criteria should be met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The applicant should be at least 16 years or older.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must have stayed in Singapore for at least six months with a valid pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) or Immigrations Checkpoint Authority (ICA).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have valid documentation showing that a COC is necessary for international travel as mandated by the foreign government authority or institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documents required for the application:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A SingPass or a Foreign Identification Number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scanned copy of the document indicating the provision and purpose of COC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scanned identification document or ID (both front and back page) i.e; work permit, National Registration Identity card, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scanned passport-size photo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Original hardcopy of fingerprint images.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For online payments, you must have a valid credit\/debit card (VISA\/MASTERCARD) or i-Banking account.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How can I apply for COC as a Singapore Citizen?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a Singaporean citizen, utilise Singpass to access the online application form and complete the COC application.
