What is HDB Intent to Sell? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Resale Checklist, which was used until 1 January 2018, has been replaced by the Intent to Sell. Registering your intent to sell, just like the Resale Checklist, allows HDB to assess your eligibility for selling an HDB flat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can I register for HDB Intent to Sell? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To register your intent to sell, visit the HDB Resale Portal and log in using your SingPass credentials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is crucial to provide accurate information during the registration of Intent to Sell, as you cannot modify the provided information throughout the selling process. You must cancel your current Intent to Sell and register a new one if any changes are necessary. Failure to do so may impede your progress and result in a delay or non-processing of your resale application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HDB will then assess your eligibility to sell an HDB flat. Note that your results only indicate your eligibility but do not constitute approval by HDB. Your eligibility to sell the flat will be determined when you subsequently submit the resale application. Make sure to submit your resale application within the 12-month validity period of your Intent to Sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After registering, you will also receive information about the Ethnic Integration Policy\/Singapore Permanent Resident (EIP\/SPR) Quota for your block, the status of upgrading, billing for upgrading costs, and recent transacted prices of nearby flats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What should you do after registering an HDB Intent to Sell?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing the registration of the Intent to Sell, the resale portal will guide you to download the OTP and compute your estimated sale proceeds. It is important to wait for the 7-day cooling-off period to be completed before granting the OTP to the buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long does the HDB Intent to Sell last? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Intent to Sell remains valid for only 12 months. If you fail to submit your resale application within this timeframe, you must re-apply for the Intent to Sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
