Bedok is an old estate which is well-built up with <\/span>plenty of amenities<\/span><\/a>, but until recently, those who didn\u2019t stay in the immediate vicinity of Bedok MRT had to rely on feeder buses to bring them to the MRT station.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the recent opening of Bedok North MRT, though, those who are renting units further from Bedok MRT Station can enjoy greater accessibility and shorter commute times. <\/span><\/p>\n

#2: Affordable rental units<\/b><\/h3>\n

Condominiums nearby Bedok North include <\/span>Vacanza @ East<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Archipelago<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Escada View<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Astor<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Levenue<\/span><\/a> and more. You can get a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit in this area for $3,000 or under – how\u2019s that for a steal?<\/span><\/p>\n

#3: Smorgasbord of food <\/b><\/h3>\n

You won\u2019t need to venture too far out of Bedok North to be greeted with a smorgasbord of good food, including\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re in the mood for good, hearty fare, head straight to South Union Park. For a little above 20 bucks, you can get their best-selling Duck Confit Tagliatelle; if you\u2019re not in the mood for pasta, we hear that the Braised Chicken Leg with potato pur\u00e9e and carrots is equally good. Don\u2019t forget dessert – order the Hazelnut Chocolate Semifreddo (pictured) to end your meal on a sweet note! <\/span><\/p>\n

Can\u2019t fall asleep because you\u2019re feeling peckish? Make your way down to Khan Saab, which is open 24 hours to cater to the night owls in Bedok! If you want a full-on meal, go for their mee goreng or briyani; if you\u2019re simply peckish, a kosong prata should do the trick. <\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll find it hard to choose between their Pesto Scramble (pictured), Pancake Stack, Full Tank, and other brunch options – bring as many friends as possible, so that you can share! <\/span><\/p>\n

#4: Bedok Reservoir<\/b><\/h3>\n

There are tons of amenities within <\/span>Bedok<\/span><\/a>, but what we\u2019re most excited about is Bedok Reservoir (which is a <\/span>lot<\/span><\/i> nearer to Bedok North MRT station than Bedok MRT station). The 88 hectare reservoir used to be a sand quarry, but today, it\u2019s a one-stop destination for water sports enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies alike.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forget jogging – at Bedok Reservoir, you can go kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, dragon boating, abseiling, sea rafting, and more (check out rental rates for the various activities <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>). In addition, you can also try your hand at <\/span>rope adventure courses<\/span><\/a> from Forest Adventure. Slots are available on a first come first serve basis, so if you\u2019re heading down on a weekend (when things get busy), be sure to make a reservation!v<\/span><\/p>\n
