#1: Keeping our electronics out of the bedroom <\/b><\/h3>\n

Studies show that <\/span>the more you use your phones in bed prior to sleeping, the harder you\u2019ll find it to fall asleep<\/span><\/a>. Want to wake up refreshed and well-rested every morning? Join us in keeping our electronics out of the bedroom, and committing to half an hour of downtime (with no electronics allowed!) before going to bed.<\/span><\/p>\n

#2: Sticking to a cleaning schedule <\/b><\/h3>\n

If you need to coordinate household tasks between family members, we recommend Wunderlist (available on both the <\/span>App Store<\/span> and <\/span>Play Store<\/span>). #3: Cooking more<\/b><\/h3>\n

Eating out everyday isn\u2019t just bad for your wallet – it also gets those cholesterol levels rising quickly. But cooking at home doesn\u2019t need to be a long-winded affair – these <\/span>3-ingredient dinners<\/span><\/a> and these <\/span>one pot meals<\/span><\/a> are all fairly fuss-free to make. New Year Resolutions are easy!

#4: Switching to non-toxic cleaning products<\/b><\/h3>\n

There are tons of potentially harmful <\/span>toxins and chemicals in conventional cleaning products<\/span><\/a>, so this year, we\u2019re committing to swapping these out for natural, non-toxic supplies<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

#5: Minimizing clutter<\/b><\/h3>\n

As a general rule of thumb: if it takes less than two minutes to tidy up, make sure you do just that instead of leaving it for later. #6: Have more guests over<\/b><\/h3>\n

If the thought of hosting a dinner party is sending you into a panic attack, don\u2019t stress – you can always <\/span>outsource your cooking<\/span><\/a>, so that you have more time to entertain your guests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who else is guilty of buying more mugs, bottles, and cute little trinkets from Typo and then hoarding them at home? Here\u2019s what we\u2019re doing from now on: we\u2019ll force ourselves to go through a 48 hour \u201ccooling off\u201d period, and after those 48 hours, if we still think the purchase is a good idea, then we\u2019ll go ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n

#8: Keeping our wardrobes tidy<\/b><\/h3>\n

According to Marie Kondo, folding your shirts in <\/span>this specific way<\/span><\/a> lets you store 10-20 more shirts in the same space required to hang 10 shirts. We\u2019re pretty sure there\u2019s some black magic involved here, but we\u2019ll do anything to <\/span>maximize the space<\/span><\/a> in our wardrobes. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

#9: Donating instead of tossing<\/b><\/h3>\n

Every time we spring clean, we\u2019re guilty of throwing out tons of stuff that\u2019s still in perfectly usable condition. 2018\u2019s the year we\u2019ll start <\/span>donating<\/span><\/a> instead of tossing these items!<\/span><\/p>\n
