Either that, you and your loved ones might just be looking to try something different in this food paradise we call home. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you&#8217;re thinking of places to break fast, let us give you a hand by picking the most accessible places for you to do so. These seven Halal-certified eateries (and one Halal-friendly joint)<strong> are all within 5 minutes walk from MRT stations<\/strong>, and are popular with residents who live in the area. Happy fasting and feasting!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><br \/>\nNorth:<\/b><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>C<\/strong><strong>oba Coba<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Nearest MRT: Yishun (NS13)<\/p>\n<p>When you walk in, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cobacobasg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">family-run joint<\/a> has a welcoming interior that makes you feel you&#8217;ve been invited to an abang&#8217;s 1960s home. There&#8217;s a trishaw out front, and vintage items such as sewing machines and gramophones inside. First-timers will be intimidated by the extensive menu, but old timers swear by the murtabaks and chicken briyani.<\/p>\n<p>Did we mention that this place is open 24 hours, too?<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Address:\u00a0Ground floor of Block 201E Tampines Street 23, Singapore 527201<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>VeganBurg<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nearest MRT: Eunos (EW7)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VeganBurg is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veganburg.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">100% plant-based burger joint<\/a> serving not just vegans and vegetarians, but also our Muslim friends who eat Halal-friendly food not of animal origin. Located in Eunos, it&#8217;s also convenient for those doing their Hari Raya shopping at the Paya Lebar night markets. (Note that Veganburg is not MUIS Halal-certified.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this year&#8217;s Ramadan season, the eatery launched the Malay-influenced Rasa Sayang Burg. The burger features a seasoned and breaded &#8220;chicken&#8221; wheat protein patty, a vegan sunny side up egg (it&#8217;s not real egg), vegetables, sambal, caramelised onions and creamy vegan aioli (garlic mayonnaise). It sounds like it packs a ton of flavour and pretty substantial. But as it is entirely plant-based, you probably won&#8217;t get that uncomfortable <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gelak\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">feeling after wolfing down the burger. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want more? Chef-owner Wahidah Jumahat&#8217;s recipes are passed down from her mother, but she\u2019s made a few tweaks here and there to keep the dishes fresh and relevant for contemporary tastes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here, you can consider pairing your mains with zero-alcohol Halal &#8220;wine&#8221; made from grape extract. But its customers have also reviewed its other dishes positively, including the clearly-named Thai chicken egg sambal fried rice.
