\n<\/a>At 99.co we have a sometimes slightly bizarre obsession with property – but not this weekend. This weekend we\u2019ll be putting our property passion on the back-burner and freely exercising our adrenaline because – drumroll – yes, the annual Grand Prix Formula 1 has arrived for a three-day extravaganza of non-stop entertainment, festivities and – oh yeah, racing!<\/span><\/h3>\n

Monte-Carlo, Monza, Silverstone – step aside – located bulls-eye on the equator, Singapore subjects the drivers to mother nature\u2019s raw elements of heat and humidity. Add to this the purpose-built 5.067km long street circuit, the unique night-time race with fifteen hundred, 2000 watt white metal halide lamps (that\u2019s geek for sheer awesomeness), and you got a property-passion defying spectacle!<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets can be bought for as little as S$68. To be frank, this will probably get you a not-too-amazing spot somewhere at the back of Zone 4. On the other end of the seat-spectrum stands the premier pit grandstand, which will set you back S$888 for a day, and S$2,128 for the three-day all-inclusive. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For everyone who does not have some two-thousand SGD to spend, but still wants in on the action, we have brained-up some <\/span>other<\/span><\/i> ways to view the F1.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond such high-minded schemes as illegally scaling the Civilian War Memorial or employing your own army of aerial drones, there are some more enduring top-spots surrounding the circuit from which you can view the race – We have assembled a diverse top 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. The Ritz-Carlton<\/span><\/h3>\n

Especially the exclusive club lounge provides some stunning views of Marina Bay and the circuit. You will be right next to the 2nd and 3rd zone of the circuit, on top of the 18th and 19th corner. That said, it\u2019s the Ritz, and the exclusive club lounge is, well\u2026 <\/span>exclusive, <\/i>so this one will inevitably come with a price tag of at least S$1,350\/night \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Swissotel the Stamford<\/span><\/h3>\n

Towering out over zone 4 of the circuit, the Swissotel will give you an unparalleled perspective of the race. It provides you with a clear view of the double-deadly corners no. 9 and 14, as well as the acceleration along St. Andrew\u2019s road. Special Grand Prix F1 <\/span>packages<\/a> are available to view the race from S$1,450 onwards<\/span><\/p>\n

3. The Fullerton Hotel<\/span><\/h3>\n

You don\u2019t need to sell your house for this one. Instead of booking a room, simply make a reservation for the roof-restaurant; two waters will probably set you back only S$10 \ud83d\ude42 . The northern edge of the roof enjoys an up-close view of the Esplanade Bridge and Fullerton Road, connecting in corner 13 of the circuit.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a last resort you better get out them binoculars and do a FB-check: do you have some half-forgotten friends living in the following places? If so, this is the time to get chummy and call in that long-overdue favour!<\/span><\/p>\n

4, 5 & 6. Marina Bay Residences, The Sail, and One Shenton<\/span><\/h3>\n

All three condominiums are spread across Marina Bay. The closest you will get to the action is at The Sail, which is less than 500 meters from zone 4, and about 800 meters from zone 3 at <\/span>The Float<\/span><\/i>. Second best is the MBS which is about 600 meters away from the action at zone 2, and lastly at about 750 meters from the circuit stands One Shenton. <\/span><\/p>\n

It really is a shame <\/span>Skysuites @ Anson<\/span><\/a> has not opened its doors yet. Next year, for all the early-birdies, this is where you ought to be. With 72 floors and a sky-terrace it will have the highest\u00a0open-air viewing deck of Singapore!<\/span><\/p>\n
