That&#8217;s according to Jefferies and a\u00a0<em>Singapore Business Review<\/em>\u00a0article<em>.\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The low supply of Government Land Sales (GLS) and HDB<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Build-to-Order (BTO) units only reinforces this possibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">property cooling measures introduced last year led to fewer transaction volumes in the first half of 2019. As a result, only 2,025 units are available for rent. This might force developers into en bloc sales, especially if the \u201ctrend of low GLS supply persists,\u201d said the Vice President of Jefferies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_22864\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-22864\" style=\"width: 2103px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-22864 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.99.co\/singapore\/insider\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/iStock-937245462.jpg\" alt=\"Keys handed to Singaporean family for new apartment\" width=\"2103\" height=\"1425\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-22864\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Low supply of GLS and BTO units can cause a two per cent rise for condo rental volumes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The leasing trend for private condo units in Singapore remains favorable. Vacancy rates of residential properties are declining as more units are rented out. There&#8217;s<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0an annual improvement of eight per cent in rental volumes. This exceeds the growth of<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Singapore\u2019s residential population of 0.8 per cent, foreign population of 1.6 per cent.
