The current chief operating officer (COO) of ERA Realty Network (ERA Singapore), Mr Marcus Chu, will become the agency’s new chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from 1 July 2021. The outgoing CEO, Mr Jack Chua, will remain as its Executive Chairman.<\/em><\/p>\n

Having been with the agency for over 20 years, Marcus brings with him over 25 years of real estate experience. Marcus first joined ERA Singapore in 1996 and began his career at the company clinching Top Achiever positions locally and internationally. Prior to joining ERA, Marcus was already amassing extensive experience in real estate sales and team building.<\/p>\n

With over two decades’ worth of real estate experience with the agency, he’s been instrumental in rejuvenating the sales team, innovating products and enhancing service levels. In his new role as CEO, Marcus will take over the Singapore leadership and oversee business operations as well as day-to-day management of ERA Singapore.<\/p>\n

“As CEO, I will continue to further the great work of my predecessor, Mr Jack Chua,” says Marcus. “Standing on the shoulders of giants, I will set forth to realise my vision for ERA Singapore – to be Asia’s leading Real Estate Agency by providing evolutionary solutions and services to our clients. I will also seek to build a culture that attracts top-tier talents and one where every ERA trusted adviser can excel.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, as Executive Chairman of APAC Realty, Jack will continue to drive expansion and opportunities in the region. He will provide guidance to Marcus and pass on his industry and institutional knowledge to the new CEO.<\/p>\n

“ERA Singapore is a strong believer in succession planning,” says Jack. “The time is now ripe for me to step down as CEO; and today’s leadership transition is testament to the success of our strategic succession planning programme, which seeks to develop and elevate the next generation of leaders from our internal talent pool.”<\/p>\n

In a press statement, Jack heaps praise on Marcus, sharing that the latter is a visionary in his own right, full of ideas on how to grow and strengthen the ERA brand, especially in a post-pandemic climate. “Courageous yet humble, resilient yet flexible, Marcus will certainly lead ERA Singapore to greater heights.”<\/p>\n

Joining Marcus as part of the senior management team on 1 July will be Mr Thomas Tan, COO designate of agency business.\u00a0 Together with Ms Doris Ong, COO of project marketing, the senior management team will work closely with Marcus to oversee the alignment of operations, from training and development, transformative marketing to digital initiatives.<\/p>\n

“I am honoured to join an exceptional management team at ERA Singapore, an organisation that believes in the importance of lifelong training and career development,” says Thomas.<\/p>\n

“We believe that professional customer service is a cornerstone of any successful business,” says Marcus. “Training and development have always been the key to grooming our agents to become professional trusted advisers.
