However, due to slow uptake of new units by buyers, developers still have a substantial inventory. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, the heat is on developers to clear all units from their unsold projects or face hefty charges. Projects facing heavy fines include Nouvel 18 by City Developments Limited and Wing Tai Holdings for an estimated $38.2 million, according to a Credit Suisse report. TwentyOne Angullia Park by China Sonangol has to fork up an estimated fee of $15.2 million. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yet, analysts remain optimistic and argue that the predicted charges are an exaggeration as they do not take into account updated property sales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the QC and ABSD deadlines in sight, developers may lower prices in a final bid to boost sales.
