Luxury homes situated on the Sentosa waterfront continue to entice discerning\u00a0property seekers, according to developer Keppel Land.<\/p>\n

The company’s president Tan Swee Yiow said that he remains positive, amid slow\u00a0sales and the sector’s poor outlook.<\/p>\n

The prospect of waterfront living is the key selling point of Sentosa Cove<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201c(Such) homes are a rare commodity. How many units can you find in Singapore with\u00a0such a view? There is demand from people who enjoy this lifestyle,\u201d Mr Tan said.<\/p>\n

Corals at Keppel Bay is one such project \u2013 its 366 units have pristine views of Keppel\u00a0Bay and Sentosa. Even though it is expected to be completed next month, 44 percent\u00a0of units remain unsold, The Straits Times<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

Because the site at Keppel Bay Drive was obtained before December 2011, Keppel\u00a0Land is not subject to Qualifying Certificate extension fees.<\/p>\n

When the project was launched in 2013, units were sold at an average price of $2,200\u00a0per square foot. A second launch is set to take place in 2016, and prices will be\u00a0announced closer to the date.<\/p>\n

Two of its other developments, Caribbean at Keppel Bay<\/a> and Reflections at Keppel\u00a0Bay<\/a> are located in the vicinity.<\/p>\n

The developer has embedded smart home features into units at Corals at Keppel Bay<\/a>.\u00a0Residents will be able to control home devices through an application named\u00a0Habitap.<\/p>\n

Through the application, residents can search for eateries, food and grocery delivery\u00a0services and transportation outfits.\u00a0They can also adjust lighting, and receive notifications when trespassing is detected\u00a0or movement is sensed within selected areas.<\/p>\n

“(Implementing smart home technology) is a continuous process of improvement, not\u00a0a one-off exercise… We think residents will enjoy and benefit from it,” Mr Tan\u00a0explained.<\/p>\n
