With a <\/span>plot ratio of 2.8<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it could yield either <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/housing\/5-former-schools-in-bedok-tampines-and-pasir-ris-set-to-be-replaced-by-new-homes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">1,000 to 1,100 condominium units<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span>700 to 820 HDB flats<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These schools were active at this location from the early 1980s until the late 1990s, before moving elsewhere. One concern raised is that the site\u2019s proximity to industrial facilities might not sit well with condo buyers. Still, the central location in Bedok could make it appealing for public housing under new housing Singapore initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 id=\"h-bedok-town-secondary-school-bedok-north-street-3\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Bedok Town Secondary School \u2013 Bedok North Street 3<\/b><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This school merged with Ping Yi Secondary in 2016 and is currently being demolished, with completion expected by <\/span>Q2 2025<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Once cleared, around <\/span>22,000 square metres<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be available for housing use (plot ratio <\/span>2.5<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), while the rest of the land has been set aside for <\/span>health or medical-related purposes<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this, the site could see <\/span>630 to 700 condo units<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span>450 to 520 HDB flats<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Experts believe that new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.99.co\/singapore\/hdb\/bto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HDB BTO<\/a> plans are more likely, especially given the adjacent medical zoning. If you\u2019re looking for public housing in a mature estate, this could be a prime opportunity.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 id=\"h-qiaonan-primary-school-tampines-street-11\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Qiaonan Primary School \u2013 Tampines Street 11<\/b><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You might remember this school, which was formed in 1985 from a merger and later integrated into Angsana Primary in 2015. The site has already been demolished, and land preparation is ongoing.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Covering <\/span>14,000 square metres<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a <\/span>plot ratio of 2.0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the land could yield somewhere between <\/span>125 and 250 flats<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, depending on how the space is configured.
