Pasir Panjang

Pasir Panjang (CC26), an area made famous by its opium business in the past, has now been transformed radically. Since the late 1960s, most of the coastal area along Pasir Panjang has been reclaimed for wharves and containerization. Given its proximity to the waters, Pasir Panjang Food Centre right outside the station is well known for its fresh seafood. Together with Fort Siloso at Sentosa and The Battle Box at Fort Canning, Reflections at Bukit Chandu, a war museum at Kent Ridge Park, serve as a reminder of Singapore’s history with its relics and documentaries. 

Nearby, Hort Park is another attraction not to be missed. A one-stop gardening lifestyle hub, Hort Park links visitors to Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park via the Southern Ridges. More citizens are benefiting from these greeneries, with the completion of residential projects such as The Village, The Orient and Bijou condominium.
