Well connected to the central business district and shopping district of Singapore, River Valley can be accessed by Dhoby Ghaut, Brash Basah, even Orchard and Somerset train station nearby. River Valley is situated within central Singapore, in a prime location that is a stone's throw away from Orchard Road, Singapore's shopping district, and the country's Central Business District (CBD). Despite this, the district is known to be relatively quiet and primarily consists of private residences. As mentioned earlier, the housing available in the area is primarily private housing, condominiums in particular. Located at 900 Tiong Bahru Road, it was the first of its kind to be constructed by the Housing and Development Board, and once famed because of it. The complex comprises four badminton courts, three swimming pools including teaching, competition, and wading pools, a covered grandstand, a football field, and a multi-purpose sports hall that could accommodate 850 people.
