Who’s it suitable for?
Kampung Admiralty (MOP 2022) is a perfect HDB project if you are looking for:
- Retirement community in Singapore
- Resale HDB flats in Woodlands for senior citizens
- Shopping, dining, and healthcare facilities within the building
- Direct access to Admiralty MRT Station
Kampung Admiralty stands as a pioneering development in Singapore, offering a unique blend of senior housing integrated with social, healthcare, communal, commercial, and retail facilities. This innovative project in Woodlands is a collaborative endeavour, with key stakeholders including the Housing & Development Board (HDB), the Ministry of Health (MOH), Yishun Health Campus (YHC), National Environment Agency (NEA), National Parks Board (NParks), Land Transport Authority (LTA), and Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
Completed in 2017, the 11-storey “modern kampung” features 100 flats for the elderly, a two-storey medical centre specialising in outpatient care, an Active Ageing Hub situated alongside a childcare facility, as well as dining and retail outlets – including a 900-seat hawker centre, Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre.
Situated along Woodlands Drive 71 in District 25, Kampung Admiralty grants its residents the most direct access to public transport. Admiralty MRT Station along the North-South Line (NSL), located right next to the development, is only one stop away from Woodlands MRT Station. Woodlands is an interchange station connecting NSL and the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL).
Woodlands Interchange Station is complemented by an underground bus interchange and is also integrated with Causeway Point, Woodlands Civic Centre, Woodlands Regional Library, and other surrounding developments.
Kampung Admiralty is easily accessible and connected via major roads and expressways such as the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and Seletar Expressway (SLE). It takes about 25 minutes to travel to Orchard Road Shopping District and about 28 minutes to go to Changi Airport using the Tampines Expressway (TPE).
Being Singapore’s first retirement community with medical services, childcare, eldercare centres, and a hawker centre, Kampung Admiralty offers all the conveniences for its residents. It does cater to senior citizens who might not be able to travel far to get their necessities.
