Accessibility

Located along the junction of Toa Payoh Rise and Lorong 1 Toa Payoh, Toa Payoh Crest is one of the tallest developments in the town, spanning 40-storeys. This HDB project is conveniently near both the Caldecott and Braddell MRT stations - both of which are less than a 10-minute walk from the development. The former gives access to both the Circle Line and the Thomson-East Coast Line,while the latter gives access to the North South Line.

To quickly access the other areas of Toa Payoh as well as Braddell, Kallang, and Bishan, you can also head to the nearest bus stop within the HDB complex at Block 131. Residents of Toa Payoh Crest with cars can easily access the north, south, and east-west of Singapore as the HDB sits near the intersection of the Central Expressway (CTE) and the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).  

Nearby Amenities  

Within the project area, residents can expect a multitude of amenities. For active leisure, there are playgrounds that children can explore as well as designated outdoor fitness facilities for adults and the elderly. Children will also enjoy the fact that there is an ice cream shop right beside the playground. If you just want to relax, there are shelters found within the central open space. You can even do some gardening at the community garden above the multi-storey car park. 

Toa Payoh Crest is a very family-friendly development. Located in the development, there are designated care centres for children and seniors. The senior care and activity centre here provides general day care as well as care for dementia, rehabilitation services, basic nursing, and other social services. 

You will also come across a number of shops nearby as you walk along Lorong 1 Tao Payoh. In the HDB right across, there is a Toh Mui Koh, Nice Minimart, and small grocery store if you need to make quick purchases. There is also the Toa Payoh West Market and Food Center for quick eats. If you walk down towards Toa Payoh Heights Park, there’s a Chop Seng Heng where you can get a bigger selection of groceries.

As mentioned earlier, one of the local-favourite hawker centres near Toa Payoh Crest is the Toa Payoh West Market and Food Centre. Some stalls worth trying are: Da Heng Kway Chap, 88 Congee, Hong Kong Lung Hwa Roast Duck, and Come Daily Hokkien Mee. 

Another hawker centre worth trying is the Toa Payoh Lorong 5 Food Centre. Known as one of the best hawker centres in the area, you’ll be able to choose from a selection of local favourites (such as Hokkien Prawn Mee and fishball noodles) as well as international stalls (from Western, to Thai, to Japanese).

This is the 250-metre, free-standing suspension bridge spanning the two highest points within MacRitchie.

If you are not really a fan of heights, the MacRitchie Trails offer a 11-kilometre nature trail loop for you to take a leisurely stroll.  These trails are located within the tropical rainforest of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve where you might run into long-tailed macaques, squirrels, monitor lizards, and even flying lemurs.
