Aroland Holdings Ltd. has its sights set on building the tower in London’s financial district.
Singapore-based developer Aroland Holdings Ltd. plans to build the tallest tower in the London’s financial district, near the skyscrapers known as The Cheesegrater and The Gherkin, Bloomberg reported.
The 73-storey building will have a public viewing gallery and restaurant at the top, and enough workspace for 10,000 people.
Aroland said its plans have gone on display and that approval for construction will be sought next year.
London’s landlords are starting to sell up in the district, with properties valued at 6.1 billion pounds ($12.9 billion) on the market, a sixfold increase from May.
In 2018, central London developers are expected to deliver the highest amount of office space in 26 years, according to Deloitte LLP.
