Moving is something that we all have had to go through at some point in our lives, and it’s definitely not the easiest thing to do. Here are some ways that you can make it time and cost efficient without even knowing!
1. Buy boxes in bulks or reuse recycled materials
Boxes and packing materials are essential to moving and most of us purchase them directly from moving companies. Most of the time, these boxes end up getting tossed out after the move is complete. But did you know you can easily grab FREE boxes at neighbourhood stores that are barely used? This way you can even score some bonus karma points for playing your part in saving mother earth! But if you still prefer using new boxes, purchase them in bulks for better rates!
2. Make it a DIY project
Moving can be fun too! Spend less on structured packages offered by traditional moving companies and make it a DIY project, especially if you are doing a smaller scale move. This way you’re only paying for what you need and get to take charge of your moving.
3. Donate your pre-loved goodies
One great result from having to move is that it becomes an unofficial spring cleaning season as well – because the lesser the goods, the lesser the items to pack. But does getting rid of your items means throwing them out? Give back to communities by donating your pre-loved goods to your preferred charity. 6. Don’t stress out!
This is probably the only normal thing to feel when you’ve got a whole lot of packing up and moving out to do. But trust us when we say this – stressing will only make the whole process much harder than it should be! As long as you’ve got a game plan prepared with a reliable transportation and moving service, odds are you’re probably all-ready for this move.
