The 5 Cheapest CCR Condos You Can Rent

4 min readby Add as preferred on Google

Singapore’s Core Central Region (CCR) is made up of Districts 1, 2, 6, 9, 10, 11, and Sentosa; traditionally speaking, properties in these districts are priced at a premium (as compared to properties in the Rest of Central Region or Outside Central Region).

That said, it’s still possible to find affordable apartments to rent in Singapore’s CCR. We’ve done the dirty work, and curated five rental units that are in the CCR, but won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Read on to find out more!

#1: This unit at Pearl’s Hill Terrace

District: D03

Nearest MRT: Chinatown

Size: 550 sq ft (two beds)

Rent price: $2,050

PSF rent price: $2.75

This two bedroom apartment at Pearl’s Hill Terrace has plenty going for it. It’s just three minutes away from Chinatown MRT, and the unit comes outfitted with new furniture and air-conditioning. Staying here also puts you in close proximity to plenty of sumptuous food, including Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice Noodle, which is the cheapest Michelin Starred restaurant in the world.

#2: This unit at Riverside 48

District: D09

Nearest MRT: Fort Canning

Size: 783 sq ft (one bed, two baths)

Rent price: $2,800

PSF rent price: $3.58

Can’t afford to splurge on your apartment, but still want to stay somewhere that’s stylish? We recommend this one-bedder at Riverside 48, which is modern, well-furnished, and full of light. The nearest MRT is a 10-minute stroll away, and you’ve got plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars located at your doorstep. For the fitness fanatics, there’s even a yoga studio and a trampoline park a stone’s throw away!

#3: This unit at The Riverwalk

District: D01

Nearest MRT: Clarke Quay

Size: 818 sq ft (one bed, one bath)

Rent price: $2,800

PSF rent price: $3.42

This unit at The Riverwalk is fully furnished, and comes with access to high-speed fibre broadband. Because the condominium is located along the Boat Quay stretch, there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, including JUMBO Seafood, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, Southbridge, and more.

If you need to grocery shop or run errands, simply pop by Clarke Quay Central, a shopping mall which is two minutes away on foot. For those who commute via public transport, Clarke Quay MRT is located below the mall.

#4: This unit at Ewe Boon Regent

District: D10

Nearest MRT: Stevens, Newton

Size: 1,150 sq ft (three beds, three baths)

Rent price: $3,000

PSF rent price: $2.61

Looking for a spacious unit? This apartment at Ewe Boon Regent occupies a whopping 1,150 sq ft, which makes it twice as large as some of the other options on this list. Because there are three bedrooms in this apartment, it’s possible to rent it out with two other housemates, and split the rent equally.

This means you’d be paying just $1,000 per month to live in a condo that comes with a pool, BBQ pits, mini golf range, and other facilities. Not too shabby, huh?

#5: This unit at Surrey Court

District: D11

Nearest MRT: Novena

Size: 900 sq ft (two beds, two baths)

Rent price: $3,200

PSF rent price: $3.33

This apartment at Surrey Court is located behind United Square, and the nearest MRT (Novena MRT) is a six-minute walk away. The unit itself is handsome and clean-cut, and comes outfitted with hardwood floors. The living room and other common areas are pretty spacious, which is great for tenants who want to entertain and have their friends over.
