Elevated lifestyle in the heart of Robertson Quay

Robertson Opus review
The highly anticipated Robertson Opus is launching on 19 July 2025.

Robertson Quay has long been one of Singapore’s most desirable precincts. It’s where riverside charm meets city convenience, lined with stylish cafés, quiet walkways, and a steady stream of lifestyle options. But now, with the arrival of The Robertson Opus, the standard of living here might be heading even higher.

Situated at Unity Street, The Robertson Opus is one of the rare new launches in the city centre that offers a near-freehold tenure. It consists of 348 residential units spread across five mid-rise blocks, with 26 commercial shops on the first storey. The retail elements, along with a pedestrian link to Pier @ Robertson, transform the ground area into a lively yet curated public space. Meanwhile, residential privacy is preserved through landscaped buffers and vertical separation.

Designed by studioMilou and ADDP Architects, one of the standout features of The Robertson Opus is how greenery has been used, not just as decoration, but as a core part of the experience. Instead of limiting plant life to rooftop gardens, this development integrates landscaping from the basement all the way up to the roof.

Facilities in The Robertson Opus

At the basement level, you’ll find the Oasis Court, a tranquil sunken courtyard wrapped with native trees, cascading plants, and delicate water features. It’s designed to bring in natural light and cool air, while giving residents a calm spot to escape the city buzz.

And then there’s the Sky Forest, a 240-metre-long continuous rooftop garden that connects all five blocks of the development. Complete with sky bridges, as well as expansive lawns suitable for yoga, meditation, and even hands-on gardening. It’s a usable green space where you can stretch, walk, or unwind with neighbours. Few condos in Singapore offer this kind of elevated greenery across such a wide span.

The central recreational deck at The Robertson Opus includes a 45-metre lap pool, a wellness pool, and a poolside Opus Bar & Dining area, ideal for casual evenings or weekend get-togethers. The clubhouse is also equipped with steam rooms, a gym, a reading room, a private lounge, and many more.

Each space is tailored to feel like an extension of your home rather than a shared facility. For families, the Kids’ Club and Children’s Sensory Garden provide safe and engaging spaces for play. Even the landscaping on this deck is carefully curated to provide visual privacy while maintaining openness.

A closer look at the unit mix at The Robertson Opus

The Robertson Opus comes with a wide selection of layouts, but the mix clearly hints at an investor-friendly approach. More than 30% of the development is made up of 2-bedroom units, which is a sweet spot for both rental yield and resale potential in the CCR. Specifically, there are 118 standard 2-bedroom units, plus 32 2-bedroom units with a study.

At the smaller end, the project offers 40 suite units (431 sqft) and another 40 compact 1-bedroom units (495 sqft). These are well-suited for single professionals or anyone eyeing a fuss-free investment in a central location. On the other hand, the 2-bedroom and 2+Study units range from 689 to 743 sqft, offering a step up in terms of comfort and space. These compact layouts avoid wasted corridor space and focus instead on liveable areas.

However, The Robertson Opus also caters to big families and multi-generational buyers with a limited number of 3- and 4-bedroom units. These larger homes, ranging from 926 to 1,539 sqft, come with more lifestyle features, appealing to those who value comfort and thoughtful design.

Premier Collection: Designed for the urban professional

The Premier Collection includes Suite, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units, all designed for city dwellers who value both style and function. These units come with ceilings up to 3.225 metres high, instantly creating a sense of volume. In the Suite units, a 4-metre layout width enhances the spatial feel, while soft white Italian tiles flow seamlessly across the living, dining, and kitchen zones.

Each bedroom features a large fixed window at the bedhead side. The bottom half of the window is frosted, smartly hiding the aircon ledge while still letting in light. A built-in home organiser replaces the typical storeroom, giving residents better, more usable storage.

Kitchens are fitted with sleek Sintered stone countertops and Corten cabinetry in durable laminates. Every unit also comes with V-ZUG appliances, an integrated fridge, and a centrally mounted Haiku ceiling fan. Sensor lights in the wardrobes and high-end fittings from Duravit and Hansgrohe round off the interiors with a touch of quiet luxury.

Luxury Collection: Adaptable spaces with a softer touch

In the Luxury Collection, you’ll find larger 2-bedroom units and flexible 3-bedroom layouts. These homes use a warmer, earth-toned palette and thoughtful design to create inviting yet functional spaces. High ceilings and smart airflow design help the units feel open and breezy. Some layouts even allow you to remove bedroom walls to create a bigger living area, ideal for changing needs over time.

The 3-bedroom DuoFlex layout is particularly noteworthy. It offers a large, open-plan living space and a practical front-back dumbbell layout that works well for extended families. With two en-suite bedrooms and two Jack & Jill bathrooms, there’s room for everyone without compromising on privacy. Notably, the junior master bedroom measures a generous 10.9 sqm, larger than what’s typical for new launches.

As for materials, the living and bathroom areas use large-format Italian tiles, while engineered timber flooring adds warmth to the bedrooms. Like the Premier units, these homes also come with the same premium features, such as V-ZUG appliances, built-in organisers, and smart lighting.

Legacy Collection: Spacious homes for families

The Legacy Collection is where you’ll find the largest units: 3- and 4-bedroom Premium homes tailored for families seeking both space and refinement. The 3-bedroom layout, for example, includes a roomy 7m x 3.1m living and dining area. Like the Luxury Collection, selected bedrooms can be reconfigured to expand the communal areas. There’s also a versatile room that can serve as a study or an extended walk-in wardrobe, plus a dedicated house shelter for storage or helper’s use.

Kitchens stand out with Rimadesio sliding glass panels that allow for both open and enclosed setups. Cabinetry is supplied by Ernestomeda, featuring satin-finished glass doors and polished engineered stone counters, complete with a bridge tidy system for added organisation.

Bathrooms and living areas are clad in rich Turkish marble slabs, while the bedrooms continue with the same timber flooring found in other collections. Fixtures are a notch above here too, with top-tier fittings from Duravit and AXOR.

The River Valley advantage: Connectivity, culture, and convenience

Robertson Opus location review
Riverside location of The Robertson Opus

When it comes to living in the Core Central Region, few places strike the right balance like River Valley. Already one of Singapore’s most established residential enclaves, this district has long been known for its charm, accessibility, and proximity to everything that matters. And now, with The Robertson Opus rising along Unity Street, this sought-after neighbourhood is about to offer even more.

Right from the start, location is one of The Robertson Opus’ strongest draws. Tucked in the heart of Robertson Quay, it gives residents direct access to one of the city’s most vibrant riverside precincts. From early morning jogs along the Singapore River to dinner at a Michelin-rated restaurant, everything is within walking distance. Cafés, wine bars, galleries, and boutique hotels line the riverbank, creating a laid-back atmosphere that’s hard to replicate anywhere else in town.

In terms of public transport connectivity, Fort Canning MRT (Downtown Line) is just a few minutes’ walk away, linking residents to the CBD, Marina Bay, and even Bukit Timah with ease. Additionally, Clarke Quay MRT Station (North-East Line) is less than a 10-minute walk, offering fast access to Dhoby Ghaut, HarbourFront, and the rest of Singapore. As for driving, The Robertson Opus is well-connected via major expressways such as the Central Expressway (CTE) and Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).

Families will also appreciate the Robertson Opus’ proximity to reputable schools. River Valley Primary School is within the coveted 1km radius, making it a strong choice for young families. Meanwhile, within a 1-2km radius are:

  • Alexandra Primary School
  • Anglo-Chinese School (Junior)
  • Cantonment Primary School
  • St Margaret’s School
  • Zhangde Primary School

Our take

In a year filled with glassy high-rise launches like One Marina Gardens and River Green, The Robertson Opus offers something different in the CCR landscape. Its medium-rise profile, boutique layout, and lush, walkable design feel more intimate and grounded, especially in a district known for its fast pace.

While other launches lean into skyline views and towering density, this project focuses on community and layered greenery. For buyers who prefer space that feels private yet connected, without the overwhelming scale, The Robertson Opus is worth considering among the new launches in 2025.
