About the Architect of Midtown Bay

Denton Corker Marshall (DCM)

Midtown Bay is part of a larger mixed-use development project, Guoco Midtown, which will be a game changer on multiple fronts. In more ways than one, Midtown Bay is designed to redefine the concept of urban living at its finest, representing the best in contemporary thinking on placemaking. It is the collective work of three architects: design architect Denton Corker Marshall, project architect DP Architects, and landscape architect Ortus Design. The success of their architectural collaboration was recognised at the 10th Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2020, earning Midtown Bay several awards including Best Luxury Condo Architectural Design and Best Luxury Condo Landscape Architectural Design.

Denton Corker Marshall, one of the world’s leading design practices, is the design architect behind Midtown Bay. Currently working in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, the practice has established a reputation for producing dynamic and innovative design solutions. A studio-based practice that has grown internationally, Denton Corker Marshall’s body of work constantly explores the fusing of art, architecture and tectonics into a distinctive architectural language, one that Midtown Bay will soon embody. Their past residential projects in Singapore include Pinnacle Collection in Sentosa Cove and Holland Village.

The Midtown Bay project architect is DP Architects (DPA), a homegrown architectural practice whose focus is to enrich the human experience and create works of architectural excellence. Founded in 1967 on this concern, DPA continues to play a role in shaping cityscapes in Singapore, Asia, the Middle East and beyond. DPA has designed many of the country’s most important public projects and notable landmarks, most notably The Esplanade, the National Library Building and Carlton City Hotel. Its portfolio of residential projects includes The Minton, Paterson Collection, Centennia Suites, Paya Lebar Quarter and several more. Regardless the purpose, residential or commercial, DPA’s projects serve as regional focal points, hubs of human activity and social space, as will Midtown Bay and the wider Guoco Midtown. Many of DPA’s projects have earned it several awards over the years, including the China Real Estate Design Awards 2018-2019, the BCI Asia Top Ten Architects Award, Asia Property Awards (Singapore), Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards among others.

The landscape architect of the Midtown Bay project is Ortus Design, an award-winning design consultancy firm. A proud member of the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA), Ortus Design has been a SILA-recognised practice since 2009. Ortus Design has adapted from mere spatial aesthetic and beautification to a more science-based approach to system planning in going above and beyond for development projects while reinforcing ecological functions and contributing back to the broader ecosystem and community. These environmental and social commitments have been demonstrated across the wide range of projects with which Ortus Design has been entrusted, including Holland Park, Asimont Villas and Fusionopolis One.
