
The month of October is gearing up to be a bumper month for developers as they sold 979 condo units and 158 EC units for a grand total of 1,137 units – all within the first 20 days of the month.

Buoyed by the impressive developer sales at Forest Woods and The Alps Residences contributed 357 and 317 units respectively, the spillover effects are visible as other projects which had slow sales numbers previously have suddenly come alive within the last few weeks.

There is no clear reason for this spike in buying but the launch of Forest woods and the Alps Residences have attracted potential buyers sitting on the sidelines to visit the showrooms. With developers reporting thousands of visitors, those who did not purchase the 2 top developments may have bought other places instead.

There is one more week to go in the month but this is already the best performing month this year. Under the current trajectory, and with 1 more weekend to go, we may see a total of 1,300 units sold this month. To give you another perspective, October 2015 saw 549 developer units sold. This is already more than 100 percent year-on-year growth at the current numbers. It looks like the buyers have all come out from hiding.
