What is the Family Grant Proximity Housing Grant (PHG)?
The HDB Proximity Housing Grant (PHG) is a CPF Housing Grant that remains accessible to individuals who are no longer first-time HDB buyers and have previously utilised HDB Housing Grants. The grant’s primary objective is to support families in purchasing a resale flat to reside together or in close proximity to each other.
Younger families desiring to buy a resale flat near or with their parents can qualify for the PHG. Likewise, the parents themselves can also be eligible for the PHG if they purchase a resale flat to live near or with their married or single child.
It’s important to keep in mind that the PHG is exclusively awarded to buyers of HDB resale flats. BTO buyers are not eligible for this grant. Additionally, the PHG is applicable only when purchasing a 2-room to 5-room resale HDB flat. However, there are no restrictions on the flat type for singles who are buying to live with their parents.
