Developers sold 341 private homes in the month, the lowest since December last year where they managed just 230.
The private home market slowed in September as developers saw a 33.5 per cent slump in sales from August, with no condominiums being launched in both months.
Sales were marginally better in August due to demand spillover from the popular High Park Residences, which was launched in July, according to a report in The Straits Times.
The haze weighed on September sales, keeping foreigners and their home purchases away. The general elections and the Hungry Ghost Festival also made it a quiet month.

Developers saw sales slump in all locations. Just 20 homes were sold in the core central region, while 68 were sold in the city fringe and 253 in the suburbs.
Compared with the same period last year, September sales this year were 47.4 per cent less. But several condominiums were launched then, including Forte Suites in Mergui Road and Highline Residences in Kim Tian Road.
