10 new launch condos within an 8-minute walk of the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) MRT stations

One major aspect that buyers look out for when buying property is accessibility to public transport. Especially for those who don’t drive, living close to the MRT will cut down travelling time.

A major exciting MRT development is the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), which has opened progressively and is estimated to be completed by 2025. It will consist of 32 stations, with eight interchange stations connecting to major MRT lines such as the North-South Line, Circle Line and East-West Line.

Connecting the north, south and east regions of Singapore, the Thomson East-Coast Line is expected to serve one million residents in the long term.

For now, stations from Stages 1 to 3 have been opened, stretching from Woodlands North MRT to Gardens by the Bay MRT.

Here’s a condo for those who have always wanted a riverfront home. Riviere is located at the heart of Robertson Quay, and it’s the only new launch condo on this list that’s located along the Singapore River.

This development is also perfect if you’re looking to move into a new condo but don’t want to wait a few years as it just obtained its TOP in March 2023.

With the CBD just around a seven-minute drive, it makes an ideal home for those working in the CBD.

2. Lentor Modern

Lentor Modern

Lentor Modern will be the first condo in the Lentor neighbourhood. So as a buyer, you get to enjoy a first-mover advantage here.

It will also be the only integrated development in the area, offering direct access to Lentor MRT and two storeys of retail and F&B options.

3. 19 Nassim

Nearest Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) station: Napier MRT (5-minute walk)

As the name of the condo suggests, 19 Nassim is located in the prestigious Nassim area.

Previously, the nearest MRT would be Orchard MRT that’s around a 20-minute walk away. But with the opening of Napier MRT, the train will just be around a five-minute walking distance.

The condo is also a 10-minute walk from Gleneagles Hospital and Singapore Botanic Gardens.

4. Park Nova

Park Nova

Another new launch condo near the TEL and located in prime District 10 is Park Nova. It’s a small project with only 54 units.

Besides Orchard Boulevard MRT, the condo is within walking distance of the shopping belt, with ION Orchard just a 10-minute walk.

Closer to home is Tanglin Mall, which is seven minutes away on foot.

5. Irwell Hill Residences

TOP: 2026
Nearest Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) station: Great World MRT (6-minute walk)

Irwell Hill Residences is located in the prime River Valley area and is within walking distance of Great World (formerly known as Great World City).

For even more variety for your shopping needs, there’s Orchard and Somerset just around a 15-minute walk away.

6. The Avenir

Another new launch condo near the TEL and located in prime District 9 is The Avenir. Likewise, it’s within walking distance to Great World.

If you fancy heading to cafes and restaurants with a chill ambience, Robertson Quay is within a six-minute walk of the condo.

7. One Pearl Bank

Nearest TEL MRT: Outram Park MRT (7-minute walk)

One Pearl Bank sits on the former site of the iconic Pearl Bank Apartments, with Pearl’s Hill City Park just three minutes away by foot.

When completed, it will be the tallest residential development in the Outram Park and Chinatown district.

8. Liv @ MB

Nearest Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) station: Katong Park MRT (4-minute walk)

Liv @ MB is one of the upcoming new launch condos in District 15 that’s within walking distance to the MRT. So you get to enjoy better accessibility here, given that the area was previously not served by the MRT.

Another highlight is that there are two parks within walking distance of the condo: Katong Park (which is where the nearest MRT is located) and East Coast Park.

9. Meyer Mansion

TOP: 2024

If you want to live even closer to East Coast Park, Meyer Mansion is the condo to consider. The park is just a 10-minute walk away.

Plus, you get to enjoy the sea view here. That is, until the government decides to redevelop Marina East and go ahead with the Long Island Plan (maybe that’s the real East Coast Plan all along).

10. Amber Park

TOP: 2024
Nearest Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) station: Tanjong Katong MRT (5-minute walk)

Amber Park is another condo on this list that’s near East Coast Park.

More importantly (for foodies especially), it’s a couple of streets away from the foodie haven at East Coast Road and Joo Chiat Road.
